I’ve been looking forward to Downtown Huntsville getting a legit speakeasy and this is definitely it! It’s complete with a call box hidden in plain sight that requires a password to get in and everything! Highly recommend making reservations a week or more out as it can fill up. The reservation time slots are for up to two hours. You must make a reservation to receive the password to gain entry. They will email this the day of, usually by 5pm at the latest. It will contain all the instructions you need. This can be done on their website. The bar itself was downstairs in the basement with a dimly lit, chill vibe. The were playing cool old movies on the tvs which really set the atmosphere. The music choice however was not quite what I expected. We were given a piece of paper to select our spirit of choice and two flavor profiles. The bartender then hand crafted our drinks based on these. This is exactly what I’m looking for at a speakeasy! The drinks were all unique and super good.

Reservation required! It’s small and intimate. The only issue I had was that it can get quite loud in there. I wish the guests were respectful of the other guests trying to have a romantic evening. I’ve been twice now and this second visit was better all around. This second time, the staff took the time to explain to you how they plan to make your drink and asked questions to make the drink something you personally would enjoy. The service was excellent and so were the drinks. The drinks are expensive, but worth the effort that’s put into making them. I’d recommend stopping in for a couple drinks before heading somewhere else to eat/drink downtown. It’s a great way to start off a night.

Fantastic experience - small and intimate inside with an air of secrecy. We sat at the bar and watched the drinks being made and chatted with the bartenders, who were both awesome! Every drink was unique and yummy and we learned some things too. We will definitely be back! Note - those with asthma should be aware that although the bar is nonsmoking, they do light things on fire and add smoke to drinks so it does have a smokey atmosphere.

First time at a bar that required a reservations. This place is hidden and in a lower level. Great low light atmosphere. All the drink where mixed to perfection and since we sat at the bar we got to see the mix wizard in action. Great service and a great time. Next time we are in Huntsville we will be makind a stop at Catacomb 435..

What an absolutely amazing experience unlike anything I've ever had! I've been to speakeasy vibe spots before, but this takes the cheesy completely out of it and steps into top tier experience. Yes, you need a reservation and a password. Yes, you're limited to 2 hours. Yes, you have to have directions and it's in a basement. And yes, it's totally worth it. The space is absolutely beautiful but also dark. You may need a flashlight to fill out your drink card, but the darkness is needed to complete the vibe. The glass wear is BEAUTIFUL. Every glass was not only perfect for the drink it held but also had a wonderful feeling in the hand. Each had a good weight and beautiful designs deep in the glass. I could nerd out about it and the bar. All incredibly selected details. And details matter. We each got 3 drinks (and they have mocktails, too, so everyone can experience the wildly creative and special mixtures!) with different profiles and they were all delicious and spot on. They do say that they'll make you a new one if you don't like it, but even after my first drink I wondered how anyone would return one. Our server was great, giving us details of each drink she brought and checking in once we'd had a few sips to make sure they were pleasurable. The drinks are reasonably priced considering the atmosphere, quality of ingredients, and care put into each one. Prices range from $15-20 per drink. This will definitely be on my list of favorite experiences, and I'm excited about going back the next time I'm in town!

Rocket City has a hidden dime and this is it. This speakeasy in Huntsville is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported into a completely different world intimate, refined, and effortlessly immersive. The atmosphere alone is unmatched: moody, calm, and perfectly designed but what truly sets this place apart is the craftsmanship behind every cocktail. These aren’t just drinks… they’re experiences. Each one is thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and unlike anything you’ll find anywhere else. Most places give you a great vibe or great drinks—but this place delivers both at an entirely different level. It’s rare, it’s memorable, and it’s easily one of the most unique experiences in Huntsville.

What a great experience. I don’t drink many cocktails, and I don’t know what to order, so their concept was perfect. You select the flavors and spirits, then they use their creativity to make a cocktail. And the bartender gives an incredible explanation of what she/he created – it’s like PhD level of knowledge of flavors and how you will experience each cocktail. Some people complained that the drinks are expensive, but they are missing the point. You don’t come here to “drink”. You come here to have an incredible experience of enjoying a unique cocktail customized to your preferences. Well worth the money. I appreciate that they have a “Mocktail” option in the spirits selection for the driver. And don’t think that selecting a mocktail will reduce the experience. They don’t just throw together some fruit juices and soda water – they use the same creativity, complex flavors, and use of optimal ingredients to give you a great experience, just using non-alcoholic versions of the spirits. Two tips: - Bring your reading glasses if you are of that age. It’s dark and you have to read the flavor selection sheet. - They ask that you don’t take photos of the interior. She said it’s ok to take photos of your drinks, just not the inside since it’s a speakeasy. I respect that.

Hands-down the best experience I've ever had in a bar. The creativity and affable nature of everyone there was so inviting. Every experimental drink I came up with was mastercrafted in their hands. I would never go to another bar if I had the choice.

Awesome experience and delicious cocktails! I love the process of filling out your flavor profile and trying whatever the bartender creates - so adventurous and fun! Just a heads up that reservations are required here, and also the room smells strongly of smoke due to the smoked cocktails they make. We were able to acclimate quickly to the smell, but scent-sensitive people beware!

Truly the best cocktail experience I've ever had with some of the best and most interesting creations I've ever tasted. If you love experimenting with flavors and trying cool, unique things I could not recommend a better place. I love the vintage speakeasy vibe - the aesthetic is gorgeous, the room is quiet and intimate even when all the tables are full, and the bartenders are so talented and really talk to you about everything they're crafting, the reasoning, and the ingredients. Our bartender even came and brought us a couple things to taste, when we got to talking. Honestly, I can't hype this place up enough; I'm so impressed.
